You are behind him, chest to his back, with both hooks in: your heels inside his thighs, knees wide. Your arms hold the seatbelt: one arm over his shoulder, one under his armpit, hands clasped on his chest, with your head beside his on the side of the bottom arm. The chest-to-back contact, the hooks and the seatbelt keep him from turning to face you or sliding out; the most dominant position in the sport. Read his hands: low hands open the choke, a hand fight to strip the grip calls for the two-on-one, an exposed collar or pulled-out lapel opens gi chokes, a stripped hook calls for the body triangle or back crucifix. He tries to fall to the side of your bottom arm and put his shoulders on the mat; keep your head and chest glued to his back.
