Peruvian Necktie

Submission · Turtle

A choke from the front headlock in which your legs do the work: his head and near arm are trapped in your arm loop, and your leg pushes the head down through it. The moment is when his head is low and one arm is out. Wrap your arm under his neck and around his near arm, clasp your hands and pull the loop tight before the legs move. Step the leg on the side of your choking arm up over his head so the back of your thigh lies on the back of his neck, drop onto that hip, and put the other leg over his lower back. Fall away and extend the top leg slowly. Any slack in the grip lets the head slip out during the drop. If he lifts the head, switch to the guillotine; if he turns toward the trapped arm, to the D'Arce. It can crank the neck: push slowly.

How to do it

  1. From the front headlock, with their head low, wrap your arm under their neck and around their near arm, so the head and that arm are both inside your loop.
  2. Clasp your hands under them and pull the clasp tight toward your chest before the legs move; the wrist of the choking arm sits against the neck.
  3. Step the leg on the side of your choking arm over their head, so the back of your thigh lies across the back of their neck, and drop onto that hip, keeping the grip tight as you sit.
  4. Put the other leg over their lower back so both legs pin them down and they cannot lift the head.
  5. Fall onto your hip and slowly extend the leg on the back of the neck: their head is pushed down while your hands hold, and the choke closes on your wrist.

Key details

  • The legs do the choking, the arms only hold: the leg on the back of the neck pushes the head down through the fixed loop.
  • Keep the grip tight as you sit: any slack in the loop lets the head slip out during the drop.
  • Their head must stay low: with the head up there is no room to put the leg over the back.
  • Drive slowly: the choke needs a moment to close, while a hard push only cranks the neck.

Common mistakes

  • A loose grip. — The head slips out when you sit. — Tighten the grip to your chest before the legs move.
  • The leg on his back or waist instead of over the neck. — Nothing pushes the head down, so there is no pressure on the neck. — Put the back of your thigh across the back of their neck.
  • Driving too hard. — Pushing hard turns the choke into a neck crank that hurts but does not finish. — Drive slowly and let the choke close.

How to drill it
