Submission · Half Guard
A reverse triangle: a blood choke where your legs wrap his neck together with his trapped arm while you sit at his head, facing his legs. It comes from the tripod (T-kimura) on top of half guard when he turns in to you to relieve the kimura, which brings his head and shoulder close to your hips. Keep the kimura grip so the arm stays inside. Bring your leg over his back and around behind his head, then lock the figure-four with the shin across the back of his neck, with his trapped arm pinned in the loop against his neck. Squeeze your knees together and pull the arm across his throat. His own shoulder closes one carotid and your thigh the other. Beginners let go of the grip early, and the arm escapes. Squeeze steadily and release at the tap.
Partner on bottom with your kimura grip from the tripod; he turns in on his own timing and you lock the reverse triangle without releasing the grip. Five reps each side.
A blood choke that also loads the trapped shoulder: squeeze steadily and release at the tap.
